The Role
We are looking for a strong QA professional to join our team and ensure quality across the SDLC for one of the key tools for our Brokers. If you are a motivated SDET who can undertake manual testing, develop automated testing, is well organized and methodical, passionate about technology and eager to develop your existing skills and experience, then this role could be for you.
This team you will join is responsible for development of a core product relating to calculation of shipping costs, and as such will involve working on an existing application, manually testing some aspects, and building out our automation to ensure we can deliver high quality software efficiently.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for improving the development processes and standards with your peers across the Division, and within your own Team.
The team you will be part of is a multi-functional team alongside developers, and all supported by an Engineering Manager and Product Manager.
- Drive quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback and suggestions to improve quality practices across the teams.
- Take ownership of a feature quality, this includes being involved in any solution definition of a feature once the Product has defined the scope.
- Plan any testing and make sure any requirements are sorted out up front (environments, users, test data, etc.)
- Testing the feature, liaising with Dev/Product as necessary during the test phase.
- Identify and implement test cases and also continuously improve our testing frameworks.
- Implement and enhance existing Cypress tests.

Core Skills:
- Experience in creating test scenarios, test cases, and test management.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (for example Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Gherkin, Postman)
- Practical experience with test preparation, execution, defect reporting, and maintenance of test documentation
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of quality best practices, techniques, and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements.
- Experience in creating test environments and test data.
- Practical experience of testing applications, APIs and validating directly against SQL databases.
