As a Python Engineer (Cloud), you will be working for our client, a global financial institution committed to enhancing their cloud security operations. You will be part of the Cloud engineering team, focusing on designing and implementing new approaches to manage cloud vulnerability data. Your work will ensure that consistent and accurate data is available for the Vulnerability Consolidation Platform, facilitating better security and compliance across multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba.
Your main responsibilities:
- Reviewing and assessing current data flows from scanning to consolidation
- Ensuring all assets with vulnerabilities have identified ownership and are consolidated
- Making vulnerability feeds available in a consumable format for the consolidation platform
- Developing and extracting findings from native vulnerability scanning tools
- Monitoring the Vulnerability Consolidation Platform for data consumption by operational systems
- Uplifting the Vulnerability Consolidation Platform to accommodate direct vulnerability feeds
- Ensuring all vulnerability data feeds function as designed and are delivered into production
- Collaborating with Cloud CSP leads, the Vulnerability Operations Team, and Vulnerability Management Reporting teams
- Administering and managing meetings, including planning, executing agendas, and tracking actions
- Supporting other operational and governance activities within Cybersecurity as required
Youre ideal for this role if you have:
- Expert usage of Python, Terraform, Bash/Powershell, and BigQuery
- Experience identifying issues and tracking them to conclusion
- Excellent organizational, administrative, analytical, and data management skills
- Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presenting to senior management
- Experience influencing, challenging, and managing stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Proactive, independent, and positive attitude with the ability to work remotely
- Understanding of Microsoft Teams and Confluence
- Understanding of the Vulnerability Management lifecycle and Patch management
