The project involves supporting the development of a platform for large-scale bioimage analysis, designed for working with microscopy data. Key tasks include converting various microscopy image formats to OME-Zarr, integrating image processing tools (e.g., Cellpose) for both CPU and GPU environments, and developing a flexible architecture that enables scalable processing on high-performance computing systems. The project also includes the creation of web-based graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to initiate workflows and navigate data structures. All activities are conducted in collaboration with scientific organizations, addressing specific imaging needs in the field of biology.
Python Developer with AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS)
Your responsibilities
The knowledge in bioinformatics and/or imaging is very secondary, we basically need an experienced Software Developer who can quickly get up to speed understanding a rather large Python Project and adapting the components in the description (data access, deployment as well as distributed computation) - at minimum professional Python experience (meaning worked in teams on larger projects) as well as AWS exposure.
