About the Project

Our client from the … sector (we’ll share more details during the interview) is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join their team and have a real impact on product and company development from day one. They are working on extending and adapting an existing set of Python libraries to ensure they are fully compatible and performant in an AWS environment. This involves refining code structures, integrating AWS services where necessary, and optimizing deployment for cloud-based scalability. By enhancing these libraries, the project aims to deliver a robust, cloud-ready solution that leverages the power of AWS for improved reliability and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For 

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience
• Degree in relevant subjects, e.g. bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong skills in (scientific) Python and familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools and methods: Source control (GitHub / GitLab), CI/CD, containerization, software packaging.
• Strong experience in designing scalable solutions that leverage high-performance computing or cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS services
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
