We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to join our team!
In this role you’ll have the chance to lead a team, develop key purchasing strategies, and make a real impact on our company’s success.
Your Role:
- Strategy Development: You will be at the forefront of creating and implementing purchasing strategies that align with our company’s objectives.
- Supplier Collaboration: Building long-term, successful relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely availability of quality components and materials.
- Market Insight: Conducting market research, expanding our supplier network, and negotiating key commercial terms such as prices and delivery schedules.
- Process Optimization: Working to improve efficiency and reduce costs through the analysis of purchasing processes and the use of systems like MRP.
- Team Leadership: You’ll lead and inspire a team, helping them to grow professionally and perform at their best.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration: Working closely with other departments like warehouse and logistics to ensure seamless project execution.
Position requirements
- Education & Experience: A degree in a technical or related field (purchasing, trade, economics, etc.) and at least 5 years in a managerial procurement role, ideally in industries like maritime, shipbuilding, or naval.
- Leadership: Strong managerial skills, including team development and motivation.
- Expertise: A deep understanding of procurement, supplier management, and market analysis.
- Analytical Mindset: Advanced skills in budgeting, reporting, and optimizing procurement processes.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven success in supplier contracts and building strong business relationships.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for communication.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with ERP systems.
