• Actively supporting team members in Katowice in achieving set goals
• Manage, develop, implement and advance specific thematic areas in accordance with the Global Procurement Department (e.g. processes, methods and tools, training, strategic initiatives, etc.)
• Acting as a liaison between various stakeholders, departments, external agencies and vendors; providing status reports and ensuring communication flows between groups
• Operational reporting - developing real-world visibility on a daily basis with an intelligent KPI system powered by supplier data
• Ongoing monitoring of suppliers for risk and insolvency
• Ensuring procurement activities are consistent with practices, policies and standard operating procedures
• Close interaction with relevant decision makers in the purchasing organization in the implementation of assigned thematic areas.

• Min. 5-7 years of relevant people management experience
• Completed commercial/technical bachelor studies
• Relevant industrial procurement experience: several years of professional experience as a strategic buyer / lead buyer for production materials in a global industrial company
• Strong project planning skills: ability to translate requirements into goals and objectives, manage the assignment of tasks to resources
• Excellent skills in developing processes and leading process improvement initiatives
• Excellent meeting management skills: comfortable when leading project meetings and establishing/managing stakeholder expectations by resolving complex issues and changes as appropriate
• Sensitivity to deadlines and a proactive attitude in finding solutions to problems
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
