For our packaging client we are currently looking for a Purchaser.
Type of work: hybride work (3 days in office)
Reporting to: Purchase Manager

Job describtion:
Ensuring goods are purchased in a timely, cost efficient and compliant manner, by monitoring and checking compliance with agreements made by and with suppliers, while developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the assigned suppliers. (40%)
Requesting and comparing quotations and conducting price negotiations with existing suppliers. (25%)
Keeping (master) files up-to-date, for article, assortment and items, in order to (daily) monitor stock positions and min/max levels. (20%)
Supporting the Purchase manager in optimizing purchase activities efficiently e.g. by participating in projects. (5%)
Verifying receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered and resolving any errors in shipments with suppliers. (5%)
Requirements:
At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in an international trading company, preferably in a packaging environment.
Proven work experience in purchasing.
Understanding of supply chain processes.
Skills: analytical, negotiator, accurate, very good comunication.
Good knowledge of English, spoken and written.
Communicative knowledge of English, spoken and written (Other EU languages include a plus).
Driving license (category B).
Advanced MS Office skills.
