As a Project Specialist at SER, youll manage a portfolio of customer engagements and be the go-to person for meeting their needs. Youll work in two modes: proactively planning resource needs and handling small change requests, and reactively responding to customer requests for staff augmentation and additional changes.

Your responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement - Single point of contact for assigned customers, promptly respond to inquiries, regularly review and plan staffing needs, deliver small change requests.
  • Project Management - Scope, estimate, and quote system change requests; deliver on time and within budget; schedule resources for staff augmentation and change requests; monitor and control project activities.
  • Reporting and Communication - Update customers on their service budget and project status; generate accurate project reports.
  • Team Coordination - Assign complex work to a Project Manager as needed; approve time entries and assist with onboarding and offboarding; manage risks associated with customer requests.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify and apply process improvements; develop and maintain PMO best practices; plan and complete personal development activities.
  • Success Behaviors: Build strong customer relationships and receive positive feedback. Maintain internal and cross-team relationships, ensuring adherence to policies. Continuously improve skills and plan development activities with the manager.

Experience and Skills

  • 2-3 years as an associate project manager, project coordinator, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing multiple small projects with cross-location teams.
  • Proficient in communication at all organizational levels.
  • Preferred experience with PSA tools (FinancialForce/Certinia) and in a professional services environment.
  • Preferred experience working with international teams and customers.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software project delivery lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage a large portfolio of customer engagements.
  • Effective communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, energetic, and enthusiastic.
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • CAPM, PRINCE 2 Foundation, or equivalent in project management required or to be obtained within 6 months.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation preferred.
  • Business level German and English (other languages as a plus).
