About the Role

The Principal Procurement Project Manager will oversee all procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems, ensuring components are delivered on budget and meet all applicable quality requirements. You will lead large-scale procurement projects, collaborate with teams to build implementation plans, and lead procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post-PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution. You will partner with GSCS to assist with project charters, benefits, and resource requirements, monitor active projects, update status, eliminate roadblocks, coordinate project changes, and contribute to development of a sourcing plan to minimize risks, create savings, and ensure predictive delivery through project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of sourcing & procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams; identify and capture demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards suppliers.
  • Support Commercial Teams with execution of sourcing strategies to achieve our goals.
  • Coordinate the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.
  • Develop and prepare RFx, defining commercial conditions.
  • Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions for complex and specialized materials, equipment, and services.
  • Lead contract preparation and purchasing process.
  • Evaluate all cost elements for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements.
  • Develop strategies to maximize supplier base cost/value.
  • Develop relationships with main suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
  • Use the corporate Approved Supplier List Process for sourcing requirements.
  • Understand operational and commercial elements of suppliers—financial stability, global/regional presence, availability, top customers, and top competitors; keep supply chain partners informed of capacity/performance and market constraints.
  • Assess supplier capacity, capability, and manufacturing processes against project technical requirements in collaboration with the Supplier (SPE) Organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouses procurement procedures.
  • Manage supply and supplier commitments after purchase order or contract, including change and contract management; analyze entitlement and cost basis, support negotiation, draft agreements on changes, and record changes in SAP.
  • Support Accounts Payables to resolve discrepancies between supplier invoices and purchase orders.
  • Use Best-Cost Country Sourcing, emphasizing mid‑eastern Europe.
  • Work in hybrid or remote model.

Qualifications

  • 7–12 years of experience in contract/project administration of large engineering, procurement, and construction cross‑functional projects.
  • BA/BS degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and maintaining long‑term productive relationships with suppliers (SRM).
  • Readiness to engage at all organizational levels and ability to cultivate and sustain high‑quality professional relationships.
  • Experience in international sourcing; knowledge of the supplier base for the nuclear sector is a plus.
  • Creative, strong problem‑solving skills, sense of ownership, time‑management, prioritizing, planning, and self‑direction.
  • Experience transforming plans into practical, results‑driven operations.
  • Microsoft Project expertise or similar scheduling software systems.
  • Availability to travel 10–20% within Europe and Poland.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
