Functional area: Project Development

Our solar & storage department within RWE Renewables in Warsaw is looking for a Project Manager responsible for developing solar PV & storage projects in Poland to contribute to shape tomorrow’s green energy landscape.



Your future plans:

• Develop solar & storage PV projects in Poland from early stage through the investment decision and handover to the construction & operations team.
• Support the origination team in site identification & assessment and negotiation of land lease/purchase agreements.
• Manage the permitting process and coordinate the team of involved internal and external providers (e.g., consultants for environmental studies) and interact with all relevant stakeholders (e.g., permitting authorities, municipalities, politicians, landowners).
• Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams with internal departments and external service providers.
• Manage and optimize project budgets, objectives, schedules and deliverables for assigned development projects.
• Conduct risk analysis/assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
• Manage existing Partnerships with external Developers (Joint Development Agreements).
• Work closely with Valuation, Commercialization and Engineering teams to identify best route to market and to optimize the profitability of the business case.

Your profile:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, renewable energies, business administration or related subject area.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Polish renewables market, at least 3 years of experience in solar PV developments.
• Experience in storage development will be an advantage.
• Proven track record in greenfield renewables development and/or co-development with partners.
• Solid knowledge in project management as well as sound market knowledge about the Polish energy market and the permitting regulation for utility scale solar PV projects.
• Very good analytical skills coupled with the required drive to execute and deliver projects.
• Excellent team-player with very good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken Polish and English.
