The person will be responsible for the preparation and implementation of the construction/reconstruction/renovation projects for the interior of passenger ships. The scope depends on the project - from steel works, installations, wall construction, finishing of partition walls, ceilings, floors - to complete equipment such as furniture, installations, decorative materials.

Main duties:

• Coordination of interior design projects throughout all stages, from input documentation analysis, engineering, project implementation and installation to financial settlement of the project.
• Negotiate most advantageous choice of Vendor for contract selection with Quality and Cost prime considerations.
• Manage labour and material finances to ensure interior Project meet budget requirements.
• Ship inspections - extensive global travel for work onboard ships and various offices (frequent business trips).
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Management of the engineering and project preparation team.
• Management of additional consulting team members engaged for specific tasks/areas.
• Motivated and proactive individual with multitasking abilities, teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
• Managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Position requirements:

• Sound experience in implementing turnkey interior projects (preferred ship interiors).
• Education in appropriate field of study (architectural, construction or shipbuilding).
• Ability to coordinate marine outfitting engineering and construction work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs in a complex and challenging environment.
• Knowledge of AUTO CAD, MS Office, MS Project.

What can be an advantage:

• Experience in working on passenger ships.
• Knowledge of issues related to electrical, fire, sanitary and ventilation installations.
• Knowledge of vessel regulatory agencies and agreements - SOLAS, MED, ADA, USPH.
