SUEZ is a major player in environmental services. For almost 160 years, SUEZ has supported local communities and industrial companies in the management of essential services such as water, waste, and air quality. As such, SUEZ produces drinking water for 66 million people worldwide, recovers 2 million tons of secondary raw materials per year, and generates TWh of renewable energy from waste.



You will join SUEZ Europe & Central Asia, a Business Unit (BU) looking to achieve significant growth in its Water and Waste activities in the countries selected in the Groups strategic roadmap for the medium-term plan. The ambition is strong, but the BU wants to develop its activities notably in the following countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Serbia, Uzbekistan, and potentially Spain. However, we also need to keep a close eye on the market, so that we can potentially develop in other countries in the region.

Description

Suez has been present in Poland since 1972 with current activities in DBFO, O&M, Smart Solutions, and entering the industry of Energy from Waste.

Suez Poland is looking for a Project Manager to lead PPP and DBFO projects in Suez Poland.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, implementing, executing, checking, and completing a D&B project, in line with the company’s strategy, commitments, and objectives.

Main responsibilities

1. Proposes, implements, and adapts the project realization strategy.
2. Guarantees the application of QHSE rules in his/her area.
3. Autonomous in the definition of the objective and baseline values of his/her project.
4. Responsible for the costs (margin objective, budget forecast at completion), quality, lead times, and technical performance of the project for which he/she is responsible.
5. Independently manages, anticipates, and influences relationships with external stakeholders (client, consulting engineer, partners, and subcontractors).
6. Proposes and implements contract management. Guarantees the respect of contractual commitments, ensures the main contract is applied, and the interests of Suez are protected.
7. Leads, coordinates, and federates his/her team around the business strategy.
8. Is capable of managing a multicultural team and contributes to the different HR wheel processes concerning the teams allocated to him/her for the project.
9. Defines his/her needs and manages relationships with internal stakeholders (subsidiary managers: engineering, procurement...) of the area for which he/she is responsible. Alerts his/her management where necessary.
10. Identifies, analyses, manages, and concludes opportunities.
11. Identifies, analyses, and manages the risks in the area for which he/she is responsible.
12. Issues reports on his/her area of responsibility.
13. Directs the REX (production of feedbacks).

Which skills and experiences you will need to succeed in this role?

Professional experience:

- Min 10 years overall experience in Project Management of Infrastructure projects for contractors (EPC / DB model). Experience in water treatment plants is a plus.

Qualifications and education:

- Engineering degree General engineer or specialized in Civil work, mechanic or electricity.

Languages:

- Fluent in English and Polish.

Technical skills required:

1. Knowledge and proven ability in the management of construction contracts of more than 15 M€.
2. Ability to coordinate Engineering team, partners, and subcontractors in civil works, installation, and electrical works.
3. Decision maker, you have good relationship skills.
4. Ability to anticipate and federate teams. Synthetic and analysis spirit will help you make this project a success.
