We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead medium to large ICT projects within a complex, international environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, quality, stakeholder alignment, and effective communication across all involved parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the project effectively and efficiently throughout its entire lifecycle and scope.
  • Establish and oversee project controls to ensure milestones are achieved, deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure and monitor the quality of project outputs.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, risks, variances, and contingencies.
  • Liaise with the Project Board and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Assign and manage tasks within the project team, authorize work packages, balance priorities and workload, and motivate team members.
  • Plan and control the delivery of project products and workstreams.
  • Manage effective communication within the project and with external stakeholders.
  • Produce project management documentation (plans, logs, schedules) and define responsibilities of all parties involved.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports and project presentations (both written and oral).
  • Organize and conduct project meetings.
  • Experience or strong understanding of Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments, Business Continuity, and Information Security Risk Assessments, ideally within EU Institutions or similar environments.
  • Excellent conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Experience working within the public sector, preferably in international organizations or EU institutions.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, managers, and suppliers.
  • Thorough understanding of IT and its application to business needs.
  • Familiarity with current, relevant technologies and trends related to the project’s scope.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality documentation and presentations tailored to various audiences.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments, seek improvements, and proactively drive enhancements.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Knowledge and experience applying Agile methodologies.

Certifications (at least one required)

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • PM2 Advanced
  • Or another internationally recognized equivalent (subject to approval by the Contracting Authority)

Experience

  • Proven experience leading at least one medium-large ICT project as a Project Manager.
  • Practical experience applying recognized project management methodologies.
  • Experience applying Agile methods in complex project environments.
