Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage the electrification and modernisation of port cranes. The role will require expertise in crane automation, electrical systems, and project management to oversee complex engineering tasks, from design through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to ensure seamless project implementation.
• Supervise the installation of MV switchgear, transformers, and other critical electrical components.
• Oversee updates to engineering designs, review and validate all electrical diagrams and software updates for the project.
• Conduct site inspections to validate plans and ensure readiness for component installation.
• Lead the commissioning of newly installed components and ensure compliance with test protocols.
• Support mandatory certifications, such as TDT compliance, and ensure adherence to local and international standards.
• Prepare and submit required technical documentation and safety guidelines.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct training sessions for client technicians on system operation and maintenance, deliver comprehensive manuals

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in port crane projects or similar heavy industrial machinery, with a focus on electrification and automation.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens), SCADA systems, and industrial networking.
• Strong knowledge of MV (Medium Voltage) electrical systems and transformers.
• Familiarity with TDT certification processes and international crane standards.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
