The work model for the role is: hybrid. This role is contributing to the LVS Business Line in ELSP Division in Poland. Main stakeholders are Local Operating Unit Manager and Project Operations Manager.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- Overseeing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ensuring accuracy in balance sheets, income and cash flow statements.
- Supporting the business new operational model with cross‑country collaboration and SAP project system implementation / optimization.
- Driving project cash flow optimisation, revenue recognition and gross margin contribution in collaboration with Project Management.
- Managing currency risk in project cash flow and implementing or suggesting appropriate mitigation measures.
- Coordination and preparation of monthly project reviews ensuring alignment with Project Controls and Global Project Policy.
- Providing financial and commercial input during tendering process, contract negotiations, risk reviews and project execution planning.
- Promoting commercial awareness within the project teams and ensuring financial strategies are integrated into execution plans.
- Assisting the project team in identifying risks and opportunities, and in ensuring adherence to ABB’s corporate governance, assurance, internal controls, and business specific finance directives and instructions.
- Fostering collaboration across teams and functions to maximize results and improve financial performance.
Qualifications For The Role
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in project finance, operational finance or financial controlling with hands‑on experience in project accounting, financial modelling and risk management.
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights to support decision-making.
- High problem‑solving skills with proactive and details‑oriented approach to work, team player.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and SAP ERP system (especially PS module); knowledge of Power BI or other data analytics tools would be an asset.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language(s) is an advantage.
