The person hired for this position will be responsible for:
- Planning and managing equipment and product projects within the cabin structure (body-in-white) area, ensuring targets for schedule, budget, and resources are met.
- Leading cross-functional project teams within the body-in-white environment, establishing structure, alignment, and efficient coordination throughout all project phases.
- Ensuring early and effective integration of production requirements into the product development process to actively leverage cost and process optimization potentials.
- Designing and implementing industrialization concepts in collaboration with cross-functional teams and other brands within the TRATON network to develop global production solutions.
- Driving the realization of new production technologies and automation solutions to strengthen the competitiveness of our manufacturing network.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and timing objectives.
- Representing the production planning function in cross‑site steering committees and maintaining transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
From the candidates we expect:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
- English and German language at min. B2 level.
- Proven experience in project work or process planning within body‑in‑white or comparable production environments.
- Strong project management skills; certification desirable (e.g., IPMA Level C or D, PRINCE2, or PMI equivalent).
- Solid foundational knowledge and passion for emerging production technologies and trends (e.g., automation and robotics, joining technologies, digitalization/MES, data analytics).
- CAD literacy (e.g., AutoCAD/NX) and basic understanding of manufacturing processes and layout design.
- High degree of initiative, reliability, and sense of responsibility.
- Structured and interdisciplinary working style with the ability to handle complex and changing requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a cross‑functional and international environment.
- Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within the TRATON network.
