Production Engineer - Shipbuilding/Marine/Offshore

Trident BMC Sp. z o.o. is currently looking to add Marine Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Naval Architects to our expanding team. Trident BMC is continuing to grow and win new projects all over the world, and due to our continued success, we have an opening for the following positions based in office in Gdańsk, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Production preparation.
• Work with documentation for production, assembly, installation: registration, checking, analysis, supervision of changes and revisions.
• Technical explanations on problems during production.
• Communication with customers, design offices, PMs, sub-suppliers to solve non-compliances.
• Technological supervision over outsourced work.
• Determining the technical conditions for work.
• Creating/upgrading workshop drawings for the current technological needs.
• Preparation of list of materials.
• Requisition of materials, prefabrications, welding technology, tools, and consumables.
• Cooperation with other departments: design, purchasing, PMs.

Position Requirements

Preferred education: Graduate from Technical University: Ocean Engineering, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering Departments.

Experience in disciplines:

• Machinery, piping, spools, ship systems.
• Hull and structural parts.
• Offshore structures.
• Outfitting and Equipment foundations.

Requirements:

• Experience in shipbuilding/maritime/offshore industry.
• Technological knowledge.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, ship construction, equipment, and ship systems.
• Good understanding of P&ID, ship and equipment arrangement drawings.
• Experience in ballast water treatment systems and scrubbers will be an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
