Job Summary
Once accepted for publication, articles must be prepared to company and industry standards in PDF, XML, and HTML formats. This work is carried out by a production team, using custom software developed by MDPI.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the editorial process for academic research journals with copy-editing
- Communicating and cooperating with editors to ensure a high-quality and rapid publication
- Technical formatting of English scientific manuscripts (Word or LaTeX files)
- Converting Word or LaTeX files to XML files
- Using customized software to layout scientific manuscripts
- Converting XML file to a new LaTeX file, ensuring that a new PDF file can be generated in high quality
Your profile:
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in any subject
- Good command of English—at least B2 level
- General computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Computer programming skills and familiarity with XTML or XML can be an asset
- Previous experience in editing can be an advantage
- Excellent self-organization and attention to detail
- Willingness to collaborate as part of an international team
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
