Currently for our HVDC Digital R&D team we are looking for a Product Owner.

Your Responsibilities

1. Responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the agile team.
2. Responsible for R&D output until handover of result from development team to receiving unit.
3. Cooperation with Product Management (for example develop and maintain the product roadmap).
4. Planning and execution of committed objectives.
5. Backlog management (create, prioritize and manage backlog to ensure alignment with projects objectives). Continuous refinement of backlog.
6. Representation of development project scope and results for internal stakeholders, partners, and clients.
7. Technology contribution to the product portfolio and strategy, focusing on system integration challenges.
8. Work with technical leads and architects to ensure feasibility of features.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and integrate them into the product strategy.
10. Driving innovation adaptation to improve existing system solutions for substation digitalization.
11. Ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets user and business needs.
12. Collaborate with teams across Hitachi Energy to leverage synergies and align initiatives. Facilitate cross-departmental communication to drive innovation and value delivery.
13. Identify and mitigate risks related to product delivery.
14. Manage dependencies with other projects and product teams.
15. Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for the product.

Your Background

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic or similar fields of engineering is an added advantage.
2. Quick learning person.
3. Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development, preferably within R&D environments.
4. Strong decision-making capabilities with a results-oriented approach.
5. Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements.
6. Experience in collecting and incorporating customer feedback into product development.
7. Skilled in prioritizing tasks.
8. Familiarity with software development processes and tools (preferably: Azure DevOps).
9. Hands-on experience in leading Agile teams and managing product backlogs.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills required.
11. Negotiation skills to balance diverse needs required.
12. Good intercultural sensitivity.
13. Strong leadership skills.

Beneficial

1. Certified Product Owner or similar Agile certifications is a benefit.
2. Understanding HVDC technology, power systems, or related energy industry domains is a benefit.
3. Experience with digital solutions and emerging technologies in energy systems is a strong advantage.
