Product Owner for Taskize
Join us as the Product Owner for Taskize, a high‑growth, Euroclear‑owned fintech based in London, transforming the financial services industry.
The Opportunity
Taskize is expanding rapidly and exploring new opportunities, including leveraging AI. We need a dynamic Product Owner to own the tactical execution of our delivery streams, translating complex problems into high‑value, shippable software.
Mission
Own the tactical execution of the product roadmap, bridging the gap between high‑level vision set by Product Managers and the technical reality of our Engineering teams. Ensure we build the right things that deliver measurable value to clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Agile Leadership: Champion the Agile Scrum process, actively participating in and facilitating key ceremonies (Stand‑ups, Refinement, Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) to ensure rhythm, focus, and continuous improvement.
- Own the Delivery: Take full responsibility for the quality and pace of the scrum team’s output. Remove blockers, provide clarification, and make decisions for the development team.
- Efficient Delivery Management: Drive efficiency by intelligently scoping and grouping work, resolving bugs or technical debt alongside related feature development to minimize context switching and maximize value delivered in each sprint.
- Prioritisation & Deadline Management: Balance immediate business pressures with long‑term roadmap goals, making clear, evidence‑based trade‑offs to deliver value on time without compromising quality.
- Problem Solving over Ticket Writing: Review and challenge requirements to ensure deep understanding, clear “Why” and "How", using data and feedback to validate decisions.
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with our remote‑first, distributed engineering teams, ensuring clarity across different locations.
- Backlog Management: Maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog and ensure User Stories are “Ready” well in advance, with clear acceptance criteria.
- Versatile Execution: Depending on the project, define behaviour of AI‑driven modules, map complex API integrations, or refine UI workflows.
- Cross‑Functional Bridge: Act as the translation layer between business (Sales, Client Experience, Account Management) and technology.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in processes and suggest improvements to help the team work smarter.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a software environment, with solid practical experience working within Agile Scrum frameworks.
- Strong ability to learn complex domains quickly; experience in Capital Markets is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving projects forward without constant supervision.
- Data‑driven mindset: use usage stats, client feedback, ROI to support prioritisation.
- Detail‑oriented with a high standard for quality and an eye for edge cases.
Desirable
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in Financial Services, particularly Capital Markets or Post‑Trade operations.
- Remote Experience: Previous experience working with Offshore/Nearshore development teams.
- Technical Versatility: Understanding of APIs/system integrations, or interest in AI/ML product applications.
