We are looking for a Product Owner who can take ownership of a modernization project - Building from scratch application based on existing legacy system which collects financial data from an international dealer network and provides advanced analytical views.
Your mission will be to guide the product through the full modernization lifecycle: understanding legacy logic, defining future capabilities, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring the new system meets all business expectations while eliminating old constraints.
responsibilities :
Owning the product vision for the system rewrite, ensuring the modern version preserves critical business rules while enabling new improvements.
Analyzing and documenting existing business logic from the legacy application and translating it into clear, actionable requirements.
Creating and managing a highly detailed backlog: user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, integration needs, and data-handling scenarios.
Leading discovery and alignment workshops with stakeholders to gather needs, validate assumptions, and define future system capabilities.
Managing documentation (functional, technical, and legacy-to-modern mappings) using JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and similar tools.
Identifying risks, dependencies, and potential gaps resulting from legacy behavior or unclear historical requirements.
Coordinating delivery timelines, supporting sprint ceremonies, and ensuring smooth progress throughout the modernization roadmap.
requirements-expected :
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development projects.
Proven experience working with complex enterprise systems, ideally involving legacy modernization or critical business logic.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Ability to read, understand, and translate complex business rules into clear product requirements.
Experience in preparing both functional and technical documentation.
Excellent communication skills and experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, proactiveness, and ownership attitude.
Very good command of English (B2+ or higher) in both spoken and written communication.
