The role of Product Owner is part of the TTC Tech Product Team, reporting into a Product Manager or directly into a Director of Technology. The Product Owner will be responsible for owning and developing product vision, strategy, and roadmap, as well as working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that product development and delivery align with the companys overall goals and objectives.
The role owner will be working with the Product Management Team to maintain, develop, monitor and increase adoption of one or more products with a personal accountability for product ownership best practices and the overall success of a product area. The role will require inward look at product standards, adoption, and processes as well as outward, promoting collaboration and best practice sharing across TTC.
The role owner will need to understand how their products fit into the wider TTC Tech picture and support different TTC lines of business. They should promote this understanding within the department and with their key business stakeholders. The role should consider how to efficiently manage priorities and bring stakeholder groups to a shared vision/aims as appropriate for their area. They should monitor product satisfaction & support and work amongst all teams and with other Product Owners to ensure well adopted and robust solutions. This role is suitable for staff with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
responsibilities :
Become the main point of contact for a business area and/or product.
Become a Subject Matter Expert in a business area and understand how our solutions are used to support them.
Build a strong understanding of the business to identify true needs and requirements.
Work with key business stakeholders & technical teams to gather requirements and ensure that the product roadmap reflects the needs of the business, customers and users.
Work with the Product Manager and Senior Business Engagement Manager to develop and maintain a product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with company goals and objectives.
Prioritise enhancements effectively and maintain Monday roadmaps / JIRA to allow dev teams, stakeholders and wider TTC Tech to easily understand and work from those roadmaps.
Regularly review Product Definition, overall product aims and stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure they are up to date and appropriate for the current business climate.
Analyse the size or complexity of a change, using appropriate methodologies and documentation for changes vs enhancements. Consider when there is a larger project that requires support of the PMO.
Define, document and present business requirements.
Analyse and interpret business need into scalable Tech solutions and/or improved/changed business processes.
Define and measure product success metrics and use them to track product performance, iterate on features, and continuously improve the product.
Understand, document & manage dependencies with or impact on other systems / projects.
Support project implementation and the handover of new solutions (e.g., testing, training, handover to application support).
Work with the wider Products team and other TTC Tech Teams to understand the systems landscape, technology and feature sets to proactively identify opportunities and constraints for your business area.
Work with teams to identify synergies / best practises across the group & analyse the balance between system scalability and specific market or brand requirements.
Understand governance and compliance requirements for your area and be accountable for their adherence.
Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and users.
Promote system adoption through inhouse training, group best practices, demo and how-to videos, webinars, etc.
Understand the level and type of ad-hoc queries & support relating to the area and implement appropriate processes or system changes to streamline support effort.
Develop a level appreciation and understanding of the wider industry developments in their area and making recommendations accordingly.
Be an integral part of the Products Team as well as the wider TTC Tech PMO community, looking at improvement opportunities.
Escalate problems through agreed channels as appropriate.
