Your career opportunity


As Product Owner you will contribute to linking various HSBC systems, develop and provide means for organizational structure discovery. Search across people, applications, and other data from a single place. Designed to be simple to use, and quick to navigate.



What you’ll do

  • Clearly articulate the product vision and mission. Create user stories to communicate desired functionality and work with Engineering, QA and application teams to refine the backlog
  • Work with Product Management to elicit high-level requirements and capture business/customer needs for various solution
  • Provide the crucial link between customers, Product management and Development to ensure product enhancement requests are understood and delivered according to schedule
  • Assess the benefits and risks of various solutions. Obtain key inputs from Engineering and architecture/platform teams to identify solution inter-dependencies
  • Coordinate product delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions
  • Assist with prioritization of competing business demands. Participate in release and strategic planning
  • Provide professional consultancy effectively for application teams’ queries/requests



What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Senior experience working in either IT Service Management, Infrastructure or Software support or Project Management
  • Good knowledge of ITIL methodologies or can demonstrate use of such - mostly in the area of SLM, Service Continuity, Information Security Management, Change, Incident & Problem management
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Strong background in Integration & API domain, experience with Jira or other project management solutions
  • Track record in working on the delivery of complex deployment projects and under diversified/ matrix structure
  • Strong business sense with good understanding in how IT systems impact business objectives
  • Strong communication, presentation & influencing skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments, strong analytical, design and problem solving skills, excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision.

Nice to have


  • Knowledge or experience in Cloud technologies adoption such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
