We’re excited to welcome a passionate and forward‑thinking Product Manager to our Portfolio Team, where you’ll lead the growth of our Specialties category — including metal protection, floor paints, roof paints, and multisurface solutions — across a vibrant and diverse EMEA landscape.

Accountabilities

  • Deliver profitable growth of the Specialties portfolio for MU in line with overall EMEA strategy and growth objectives.
  • Accountable for the implementation of the Specialties portfolio strategy within MU – deliver “whitespace” growth and margin expansion opportunities.
  • Accountable for driving implementation process with label creation support and technical support (benchmark, validation, USP’s, TDS creation) when required.
  • Work with market units to develop an intimate understanding of the portfolio landscape of our competitors.
  • Optimize the health of the Specialties assortment through annual reviews & recommendations. Accountable for delivering portfolio optimization targets.
  • Bring market, customer and data driven insight to the innovation pipeline.
  • Provide technical portfolio expertise and support to MU as required.
  • Work closely with S&T to optimize the formulation assortment, bring FCR initiatives and coordinate formulation related client complaints or industrial challenges.
  • Drive the sustainability of the Specialties portfolio to grow sales of sustainably advantaged products.
  • Co‑ordinate certification requirements where relevant and as required.
  • Work closely with product stewardship and S&T on formulation related topics to keep up to date on legislative changes and requirements and support the market units to implement changes OTIF.

Key Experiences Required

  • Excellent marketing skills: Min 2 years product / portfolio management experience
  • Equivalent commercial experience also considered
  • Specialties category related work is an additional advantage (product management, technical support, project management, R&D development, market analysis …)

  • Results oriented – Accountability to drive sustained profitable organic growth and profit.
  • Navigator – Ability to navigate and deliver in a matrix multicultural management environment with high level of Cross‑functional management – enabling to unit a team from cross‑department.
  • Stakeholder management – Ability to influence x-country and x-functional stakeholders (R&D, supply, brand marketing …).
  • Prioritization – Comfortable setting priorities and getting buy‑in.
  • Flexibility – Ability to adapt quickly to new ways of working, adjusting quickly to changing demands and priorities. Good problem‑solving skills.
