Guidewire Cloud Platform



As a Product Manager working on the Guidewire Cloud Platform, you will build products that enable Guidewire customers to develop, build, test, deploy, and manage any Guidewire application in the cloud with ease. Our cross-functional product teams drive vision, roadmap, discovery, execution, and delivery of products that enable Insurers to innovate quickly, easily, and at scale.



The product area (GWCP) is a relatively new part of Guidewire that is rapidly growing to meet customer and business demand. This role will have the opportunity to strongly influence the product and team, and to develop new strategies.

The role requires working from the office 10 days per month (every Tuesday and Wednesday, and Monday-Thursday on the 4th week of each month).

Job Description

What will you do:

1. Gain an in-depth understanding of the cloud ecosystem that enables Guidewire applications, the market, competition, and user requirements.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover and evaluate opportunities, and prioritize and refine solutions.
3. Work collaboratively with other Product managers, Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Enablement teams to define and maximize the value of our solutions.
4. Envision smart solutions to complex problems while collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
5. Build and communicate roadmaps and requirements with teams and appropriate stakeholders.
6. Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
7. Drive Quarterly planning meetings for the supported teams.
8. Be a servant leader, helping the teams deliver the plans on time to the quality mark.
9. Track and report progress around those plans.
10. Continuously convert chaos to clarity for the team.

What we’re looking for in this role:

1. A Product Manager who enjoys making a sophisticated system easy to use for our end users.
2. Self-starter with an owner and problem-solving mindset, not afraid of taking initiative and driving solutions.
3. Collaborative, self-motivated, positive team player who is curious and has excellent communication skills with experience in working across global time zones.
4. Experience working directly with engineering teams, translating customer requirements into actionable features and user stories.
5. Experience with Scrum and Agile.
6. Knowledge base in cloud technology concepts including workflows, tools, and architecture.
7. Experience driving a discovery process including capturing data, analysis, forming a hypothesis, and testing.
8. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts and tools, including CI/CD and Source Code Management tools (e.g. Teamcity, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Github, etc.).
9. Knowledge about the software development lifecycle, including building and testing of source code.
10. Experience working with strategic product roadmaps, working on cross-functional teams, measuring outcomes, and delivering results.
11. Excellent English speaking and written communication skills.
12. Flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment.
13. Ability to travel 5-10% of the time as and when necessary.
14. Bachelors degree in technology or equivalent experience.
15. 3+ years of technically oriented Product Management / Product Owner experience.

Bonus:

1. Experience with building web infrastructure, services, or applications at scale.
2. Experience with building a B2B Cloud Platform.
