Product Manager – Platform Engineering

StepStone is a global online job board business. The Product Manager in our Technical Platform group collaborates with Product Managers, Engineering Directors, Staff Engineers and Platform Engineering teams to deliver products that enable engineers by creating a frictionless development experience.
Responsibilities
- Product vision: Drive the vision of your products and integrate it within the overall engineering strategy, focusing on opportunities that transform the developer experience.
- Ownership: Prioritise the backlog, discover strategic opportunities, and create product roadmaps, delivering consistently with a high‑autonomy, high‑alignment culture.
- Stakeholder management: Influence teammates, colleagues, customers and executives through data‑driven thought processes; technical competence is a plus.
- Communication: Proactively update stakeholders on development status and initiatives, tailoring content to varying technical skill levels and seniority.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and delivery methods.
- Proven experience building and scaling high‑traffic products.
- 2+ years as a Product Manager on technology‑powered products.
- Ability to drive technical product development and build products for engineers.
AI Experience (Preferred)
Experience building AI‑integrated platforms or using AI coding assistants is a competitive advantage.
