First Connect is a digital marketplace providing independent insurance agents access to top US carriers and the optionality necessary to grow their businesses. The platform’s standout feature is a robust comparative rater that lets insurance agents input data just once to generate multiple insurance quotes for their clients. FC aims to continually expand its network of insurance providers by integrating more companies via APIs, making it easy to access a wide range of insurance products. First Connect is an independent startup that recently spun out of Hippo Insurance and is now building its own unique future. Responsibilities

  • You’ll improve and expand dynamic carrier workflows used in 140+ end-to-end carrier processes
  • You’ll own the Carrier Store (central marketplace experience where agents discover and request access to carriers) to be more actionable, personalized, and clear
  • You’ll design agent experiences that clarify what’s needed next and reduce support dependency
  • You’ll ensure all flows are modular, scalable, and adaptable to carrier‑specific requirements
  • You’ll own product compliance across onboarding, carrier access, and ongoing agent journey
  • You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, our US‑based business team, as well as external partners to translate problem‑areas and requirements into high‑quality features and ensure compliance rules are met without creating unnecessary friction
  • You’ll own the entire discovery‑to‑delivery cycle – spotting user pain points, researching solutions, testing them out, and getting them live
  • You’ll use data, market trends, and user insights to make smart, informed decisions every day

Qualifications

  • Have at least 4 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, marketplaces.
  • Have a solid track record of launching technical products or features that made a real impact on both users and business
  • Use data – both quantitative and qualitative, to guide your decisions
  • Understand how software is built and have a solid grasp of SDLC.
  • Have worked closely with engineering and know your way around agile development (whether it’s SCRUM, XP, or something else), believing in shipping incrementally rather than waiting for big monthly releases
  • Have a high ownership mindset – feel comfortable navigating ambiguity and pushing initiatives forward
  • Can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball and communicate clearly with both tech and non‑tech teams
  • Have a great command of English and Polish (written & spoken).
  • Are available in the afternoons – you’ll join a Polish‑American team, so you should expect afternoon meetings (about 2 days a week). Rest assured, we prioritize work‑life fit, respect everyones private lives, and don’t work at night but we still must ensure that communication between the time zones is effective.
