How will you make a difference?

As a Product Line Tender Buyer, you will be responsible for evaluating component costs, managing localization constraints, integrating raw material and inflation risks, challenging proposed designs, feeding capitalization tools, securing purchasing commitments, preparing tender purchase plans, and handling handover packages for awarded projects.

What do we want to know about you?

• Masters degree in Engineering, Purchasing Management, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a global industrial environment or demanding discrete industries
• Expertise in assigned commodities
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Advanced purchasing/negotiation, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Professional English proficiency (German is a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Open-mindedness and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work in a stressful environment

What will your typical day look like?

• Evaluate component costs based on designs, specifications, quantities, and schedules
• Send RFQs for critical components and confirm pricing sources
• Highlight raw material impact and utilize should-cost tools
• Manage localization constraints in the sourcing process
• Challenge proposed designs using capitalization tools and cost-effective solutions
• Identify gaps between purchasing commitments and tender requirements
• Integrate and monitor raw material and inflation risks
• Highlight potential schedule risks due to supplier lead times
• Feed risks and opportunities during the project phase
• Prepare and validate the Tender Purchase Plan
• Consolidate lessons learned from previous projects
