To be part of the Chocolate Development team will be exciting! After all, you will be working on brands that matter to millions such as Milka, Cadbury and many others. In this role you will lead or participate in the execution of various Chocolate development projects. As such it is crucial to ensure consistency and technical precision as well as manage and interpret research data in a business-relevant way. You will interact very actively with other developers and people from functions such as marketing, procurement or supply-chain, so influencing others and managing cross-functional projects will be a big part of your working day.

On this role you will:

  • Plan, conduct and execute small and middle level of projects and develop functional expertise, responsible to lead one of the Pilot Plant Chocolate technology
  • Be responsible for development and implementation of new chocolate tablets across MEU Region
  • Develop new products in line with consumer centric design and P3DE principles, including prototypes development in Pilot Plant
  • Create and implement Digitalization, M&S tools to simplify project development
  • Develop and agree all Technical Product Documentation (HACCP document, Specification, trails report, FPA- first production approving, Shelf-life tests, etc.)
  • Closely cooperate with Marketing, Operations, Consumer Science, Consumer Insight, Product Change Management, Procurement, Quality, External Manufacturing and suppliers

Requirements:

  • Master Degree in Chemical engineering, Food Technology or Food Engineering
  • Experience in food industry and confectionery is a strong advantage
  • General knowledge of food manufacturing technologies, ingredients and technical curiosity, ability to operate or to learn fast how to operate pilot plant equipment
  • Enthusiasm and full accountability for the results, self-standing, open and ready to learn on the job
  • Can-do attitude, thinking out of the box, creativity and happy to take up the challenges
  • Ability to work independently, under time, resources, data constraints on daily tasks and projects
  • 1-2 years of experience in product or packaging development will be an advantage
  • Fluency in English is a must, other European language skills are beneficial

We offer a fixed-term contract for 24 months.
