Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Product Development Analyst to join our Infomediary Data Solutions organization.
The Product Development Analyst is responsible for working with the Infomediary Data Solutions team to create and implement projects supporting the Data Services product roadmap. S/he will help ensure that the project design meets the goals and objectives of the project, satisfies all aspects of the project scope, and aligns with the overall Data Services strategy. The Product Development Analyst assists with project design, is responsible for managing definition / documentation of requirements, and focuses on ensuring integrity throughout all phases of the project life cycle and managing changes as required. The individual will work both independently and as part of a project team to actively analyze stakeholders needs and increase operational efficiency.
responsibilities :
Design and develop data services processes using SQL queries and reporting tools and ensure the seamless flow of data across various systems and databases.
Conduct business and system analysis to determine how changing business needs will affect the system or product; clearly articulate the business need and potential solutions with support of insightful analysis and documented evidence.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, configurations, and best practices. Write and/or review technical specification documentation which may include data modelling, dataflow diagramming, screen design, workflow analysis etc.
Learn and apply existing and emerging technology solutions to provide simplification, standardization and automation aiming scalability and or risk reduction.
Provide an enhanced client experience by anticipating client needs related to the project by initiating and recommending actions that will lead to the successful completion of the project.
Demonstrate strong subject matter expertise, including technical knowledge of associated systems.
Help to identify coding patterns and anti-patterns and enforce implementation of the patterns through code reviews.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including other data engineers, Systems Developers, analysts, Project Managers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Participate in all phases of testing, including user acceptance testing, regression testing, client testing and parallel/pilot testing, to validate that development meets the specifications of requirements and design and satisfies the project scope.
Participate in post project reviews and document lessons learned.
requirements-expected :
BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience.
3+ years related work experience (analysis in software development projects is a plus). Financial services industry knowledge and experience preferred.
Ability to complete duties as assigned under minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency using windows-based applications, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
SQL experience and ability to write the queries and optimize existing ones is a plus.
Understanding of data modeling principles and application design experience.
Experience with product management methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
Understanding of fund administration and of the key roles assumed by Custodians, Fund Accountants, Fund Administrators, and Transfer Agents is a plus.
Creative and effective problem-solving and analytical and organizational skills.
Proactive and results oriented.
Ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements.
Experience with Data Fabric or related toolsets is a nice have.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
