Managing and maintaining documentation required for product certification and compliance (product categories including Household, Toys, Electrical, Cosmetics, Packaging, etc.).
Understanding local HS codes (Harmonized System) and import regulations of the country to ensure compliance before initiating any shipments.
Researching and analyzing national and international laws and regulations applicable to products.
Identifying and alerting businesses to potential regulatory risks and non-compliance issues.
Developing and implementing strategies to ensure product compliance across different markets.
Collaborating with legal and business teams to integrate compliance into the product development lifecycle.
Collaborating with the Local Import team to resolve any issues during the importation process.
Supporting the business in getting products through the necessary certification and approval processes to access new markets.
Monitoring and reporting on legislative changes, advising management on the impact of evolving regulations.
Acting as a liaison between the company and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth communication and compliance.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelors/Engineer-s Degree, desirably in Law.
At least 2+ years of experience within the product compliance/legal/manufacturing area and awareness of legal and technical regulations.
Good understanding of EU regulations and compliance obligations, Customs operations, and HS codes knowledge (preferably in retail categories).
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
Very good English proficiency, both oral and written (min. B2)
Nice to Have (Optional) - Knowledge of BDO, CBAM, EU MDR issues/regulations.
