Overview

The Product Architecture team offers architectural support to Product Management and Engineering, guiding strong product development and integration in preparation for release and customer integration. In addition, they provide site‑specific services such as technology stack evaluation and recommendations, customized customer integration mentorship, and deep‑dive assistance on persistent problems. The Product Architecture (PA) Lead role supervises the team and serves as a blocking issue point and senior connector between various external and internal collaborators.

• Supervise the PA team’s workload and requirements by delegating team members to priorities and tasks.
• Lead the expansion of the PA team by collaborating with internal and external teams to pinpoint training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives for team development.
• Refine processes and tooling – assess and improve the processes and tools employed by the PA team to enhance efficiency and efficacy.

What You Bring With You

Apart from PA qualities, as a Senior Leader you possess:

• Product Influence – assist in analyzing and consolidating insights from PAs throughout the portfolio into strategic contributions for product roadmaps.
• Encouraging modifications in approaches and outcomes.
• Guiding – for both your team and other individuals within the CTO. As a senior PA, you are seen as a rational voice and valued for your comprehensive perspective on technology and emphasis on delivery.
• Cloud Skills – experience building cloud products in Azure, AWS, or GCP with hybrid or flexible deployment to on‑premise.

Responsibilities

The Product Architecture Lead is also expected to function as a Product Architect. The Architect role entails the following responsibilities:

• Product Architecture – define or evolve a product architecture based on new requirements or overall system needs.
• Solution Architecture – help define a particular decision or solution for a customer deployment to guide IGT development and customer technical leads.
• Architecture Strategy – guide Brightstar engineering and product toward technologies and an architecture that meets business needs, being responsible for key build decisions when necessary.

What Product Architects Have

• Ownership of Product Architecture – analyze and consolidate requirements to formulate a technical solution for product roadmaps and engineering development.
• Approach to Improving Delivery – identify areas for engineering optimization to facilitate easier and more robust realization of the architecture, inspiring changes in work methods and deliverables.
• Apply architectural and system development expertise to assist in crucial decision‑making for product and solution creation, communicating trade‑offs of various approaches.
• Hands‑on approach – actively participate in establishing foundations or resolving critical issues alongside engineering when needed.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills – thrive in a fast‑paced, sometimes hectic setting with various, opinionated collaborators; confident in handling conflicting viewpoints.

In Addition, as Lead of the Team You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s in IT or related field, plus 5 years in business systems analysis or as a product owner managing complex enterprise products or features.
• A solid grasp of product management and agile software development techniques, applied principles and tools in contemporary product development and product composition.
• Ability to travel (up to 15% of time).
• Ability to work across multiple time zones if required.
