All about the role

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic IT Product Owner to oversee and enhance our supplier and material master data systems. This role includes ownership of the Supplier base and the One Supplier ID initiative, as well as alignment with the One ANC ID initiative related to Material Master Data. The ideal candidate will act as the central point of contact for business, IT, and external stakeholders, ensuring effective management and successful delivery of all projects within this domain.

In this role, you will also drive the scaling up of our Supplier Portal platform, which is our in-house built central solution for two-way communication with our Direct Material (DM) Suppliers. Success in this role means you are proactively engaging with business stakeholders that have any supplier interaction, within and outside the Procurement organization. You will closely work with the Solutions Architect to ensure compliance to technology guidelines and application roadmaps.

What you’ll do

  • Master Data Management: Own and maintain the overview of the supplier base and manage the One Supplier ID initiative to streamline Vendor Master Data processes.
  • Supplier Portal Management: Ensure effective streamlining of Supplier Portal modules and use cases for Direct Material (DM) Suppliers, enhancing usability and functionality.
  • Material Master Data Alignment: Align with the One ANC ID initiative to ensure consistent and accurate Material Master Data across all platforms.
  • Stakeholders Engagement: Serve as the central point of contact for all project-related communications in line with the One Supplier ID or Supplier Portal among business, IT, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Project Delivery: Manage end-to-end project delivery, from inception through to completion, ensuring projects meet requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Project Tracking: Utilize tools like PhAROS/ServiceNow to monitor and manage project progress and deliverables effectively.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project stability and continuity.
  • Budget and Deadline Compliance: Secure projects’ adherence to deadlines and budgets, implementing cost-effective strategies to maximize resources.
  • Performance Metrics: Calculate, monitor, and report on key project KPIs and OKRs to track success and areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Meetings: Organize and lead Steering Committee, introduction, and status update meetings as well as cross-functional operational team meetings to ensure alignment and progress.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role in IT or business systems environments.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management, particularly Vendor and Material Master Data.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management software and tools, such as PhAROS and ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
