For our new plant „Factory od the Future” in Wałbrzych we are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Supplier Development – Sustainability Engineer

Global Supplier Sustainability Expert

location: Wałbrzych

Your responsibilities

• Interface between HQ Procurement and plant procurement
• Common coordination with HQ SQM to plan and perform regular environmental and sustainablitiy related audits at supplier facilities or virtual audit to monitor and assess conformance with requirements in order to identify risks and opportunities
• Monitoring of supplier sustainability initiatives from remote and on side supplier and identify critical supplier
• Implement a supplier CSR risk management process
• Implement a software based solution to monitor supply chain
• Improve exchange with supplier and generate transparency
• Deliver supplier sustainability KPI`s into supplier rating in coordination with Supplier Development team, support on action plan evaluation and evidence checking
• Work with HQ supplier management to develop and execute supplier search and selection.
• Supplier tracking via conference calls or on side support according to the escalation level

Our requirements

• Bachelors or equal degree; at least 3 years working experience in foreign ventures or intercontinental acting in a global company
• Work experience in sustainability area/ suppy chain management/ procurement/ logistic and/or supplier development in manufacturing environment. Expericence in automotive industry would be a plus
• Supply chain management, knowledge of sustainability related standards (eg. ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, CSR, IATF 16949, etc.) and conflict materials requirements (eg. PFAS, REACH, etc); IT System affinity
• Good communication skills on written and oral English, German would be a plus
• Good team player and quick learner; sustainable mindset; professional and communicative business manner; dealing with suppliers and customers; structured and analytical way of working; intercultural competence; global thinking and acting, willingness to travel globally; motivated in “making the world a better place”
