Defining governance around best practices and purchasing policies.
Achieving assigned category targets for cost reductions.
Implementing Global Category Strategies.
Performing Supplier relationship management and reviews.
Responsible for category spend, savings forecasting and reporting.
Must be open to support occasional evening work hours in support of North American business partners and suppliers
Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree (in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business).
3+ years of Procurement Category Manager or equivalent. Business acumen and experience is a plus. Strong experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects.
Experience working in a large, complex, global business.
Experience running RFx processes.
Contract negotiations without much legal guidance.
Ability to support large/complex supplier deals, potentially including Hardware, Software, and Services integrated solutions.
Ability to interact with and present to VP Levels. Core analytic skills to independently dive into an unclear area and make sense of it.
