Global Procurement proactively manages the entire supplier ecosystem, making a vital contribution to improving health outcomes, reducing costs for patients and global healthcare systems, and ensuring that Roche continues doing now what patients need next.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management and strategic direction of Sourcing within Global Procurement, driving alignment with the overarching Procurement strategy, digital initiatives, and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support Procurement Delivery Chapters by clearly defining excellence for operational sourcing, establishing an integrated plan, and applying a data-driven approach to measure progress and remove impediments.
  • Collaborate with internal procurement teams (Delivery Chapters, Customer Excellence, Insights, Analytics, Contracting, Learning and Development, etc.), Roche Services and Solutions, functional management and business stakeholders to build and implement a best-in-class procurement delivery capability.
  • Provide capacity, expertise, and oversight to productivity and other customer-oriented projects/solutions; identify opportunities for continuous improvement and further automation of core procurement processes, especially in sourcing and capturing negotiated contract terms.
  • Play multiple roles as needed (peer coach, project lead, or workstream lead) to support continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Own the end-to-end process for the Sourcing Capability area, from strategic conception to end-user adoption, ensuring a consistent approach to operational sourcing within Global Procurement.
  • Develop content and automation, Sourcing guidelines, best practices, training and communication materials to improve adoption and efficiency of the Sourcing Capability.

Qualifications

  • You hold a university degree, preferably in business or a related discipline.
  • You have 10+ years of procurement experience in strategic and operational sourcing and operational category efficiency projects.
  • You have demonstrated success in managing (internal and/or external) service providers and building productive, cost-efficient partnerships.
  • You have experience applying AI/digital tools (beyond eSourcing and eAuction) to automate simpler sourcing engagements.
  • You have significant experience managing teams in a global, fluid and interactive environment, ideally in a matrix environment.
  • You are a strong advocate of agile ways of working, with direct experience in agile leadership.
  • You have expertise in procurement end-to-end systems and processes.
  • You demonstrate curiosity, active listening, and willingness to experiment and test new ideas with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
  • You are open-minded and inclusive, sharing ideas and knowledge while being receptive to feedback.
  • You have experience in project management including change management and delivering complex business process/organizational change projects.
  • You are fluent in English to a business level.
