Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Łukasiewicz-IMiF) conducts the research and development in the field of advanced microelectronic and photonic technologies. It has unique technological laboratories and intellectual capital that enable it to undertake the scientific work and run the projects aimed at increasing the innovation of Polish enterprises, simultaneously creating a high-tech knowledge environment in the field of innovative materials’ production along with the technology and design of microelectronics and photonic devices, gallium nitride technology, LTCC technology, printed electronics and medical and environmental sensors. Łukasiewicz–IMiF runs numerous projects financed from domestic and foreign funds annually, the goals of which are to increase the innovation of the Polish economy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing a production line and scaling up the production of graphene materials
- Servicing research and production infrastructure
- Conducting research work in the field of graphene materials aimed at commercially attractive applications
- Characterization of graphene materials
- Co-creating project proposals
- Preparing scientific publications, technical documentation, and reports on conducted work
- Participation in research and development projects
- Attending scientific conferences, industry fairs, and meetings with potential partners
- Involvement in the commercialization of research results
- Participation in fulfilling orders from external entities
- Master’s degree or higher education and at least one year of experience in the R&D sector (preferred fields: chemical and process engineering or chemical technology)
- Theoretical knowledge of liquid-phase reactions and processes such as mixing, suspension filtration, and drying
- Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis, with particular emphasis on flake graphene
- Experience in designing and scaling technological processes – focus on increasing production scale
- Fluent Polish (spoken and written)
- Communicative English (spoken and written)
Preferred:
- Knowledge of selected nanomaterial characterization techniques: SEM microscopy, combustion analysis, BET analysis
- Experience in commercialization of research results
- Experience in raising the TRL (Technology Readiness Level) of existing solutions
