New Technical Center - Electrification in Krakow

Job purpose:

The Problem Resolution Manager role coordinates engineering efforts to work on resolving problems in the product throughout its lifecycle in the development of power electronics inverters. This role requires collaboration with Project Leads, Engineering, and frequent customer interface.

Key responsibilities:

1. Maintain communication and develop a good working relationship with the customer/supplier.
2. Establish and maintain the communication link in terms of Defects Status between the engineering department at the customer and the BorgWarner project teams.
3. Define project problem/defect management strategy.
4. Analyze the defects and plan their corrections.
5. Track the defect resolution.
6. Classify defects and assign priority and severity to them.
7. Close out defect reports and analyze problem trends.
8. Determine the impact of the problem on the project.
9. Support the project team in root cause analysis and lessons learned archive.

What we are looking for:

1. Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechatronics or Software Engineering. Master’s degree in related technical field preferred.
2. Automotive industry experience with progressive increases in responsibility, experience in Systems engineering.
3. Good working knowledge of software development lifecycle.
4. Demonstrate experience of working in high-pressure environments in previous roles.
5. Analytical, technical, and statistical skills for root cause analysis, methods and tools (DFMEA, FMEA, FMEDA, 8-D, and FTA analysis).
6. Understanding of power electronics, electric motors, and controls would be an advantage.
7. Understanding of effort estimation and work tracking.
8. Experience in A-SPICE.
9. Knowledge of Polarion, JIRA or similar tools.
10. Global experience working with multiple regions and multiple cultures.
11. Fluency in English is required. German and/or French would be an advantage.
