Whats the role?

Team:

We are a small cross functional team of passionate cartographers and designers taking care of the map look & feel for various HERE products. Beyond styling our work touches data analysis, compilation, rendering & design. The mix of design & engineering is unique and excites & challenges us every day. We’d be happy to share this with you!

Create advanced map design & map rendering solutions , including:

1. Map data analysis and benchmarking
2. Syncing with peer teams & contacts to make sure market / use case requirements are understood & met
3. Gather requirements & define deliverables for map content, map compilation, rendering & design teams
4. Design implementation with constant feedback loops with local expert teams
5. Challenge development teams for visual or quality improvements

Who are you?

1. Ability & willingness to think deeply into map rendering (incl. 3D ) & apply designs to technical possibilities & limitations
2. Ability to implement styling & mapping with code
3. Open minded & visionary thinking for future concepts, new technical capabilities and challenges
4. Drive for excellence and comfort working independently with little supervision

Your experience

1. Bachelor/Master in Cartography, Geography, GIS or related field
2. +8 years’ experience in digital mapping
3. Experience with Mapbox
4. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
5. Experience in Figma and Blender
6. Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Would be a plus

1. Understanding of vector tiles & JSON
