• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience as an API engineer.
• Strong experience in API design and creation of architectural artefacts (gap analysis, low‑level designs, data models).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in backend microservices, application security, authentication, caching, and middleware.
• 8+ years of programming experience in Java; experience with Go and Rust is a strong advantage.
• Expertise in JVM tuning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Strong background in distributed systems design, including microservices and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Kiali, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, VPC networking, firewalls, IAM, and cloud delivery (including sizing and costing).
• Solid understanding of Linux OS, networking, storage, load balancing, and Kubernetes CNI.
• Strong SQL coding skills preferred.
• Experience in financial services, ideally in payments.
