The Team: The Global Insights, Models and Scenarios team is responsible for the development and maintenance of economic models, conducting scenario analysis, and deploying economic analytics to help our clients make better decisions.

The Impact: As a senior member of the team, you will take a leading role in the development and enhancement of our state-of-the-art global economic models. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, and your expertise will directly shape the critical business and financial decisions of our clients by providing them with sophisticated economic scenarios and authoritative analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of global macroeconomic models.
  • Lead the design and execution of sophisticated economic and financial scenarios, responding to complex client needs under tight deadlines.
  • Design and implement financial stress tests and forward-looking scenarios to assess the resilience of financial systems by simulating severe but plausible adverse economic events, such as deep recessions or market crashes.
  • Provide expert guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to other economists on the team, fostering their professional growth.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on econometric modeling and scenario analysis, both internally and in senior-level client interactions.
  • Apply your deep knowledge of econometrics and macroeconomic theory to produce and present insightful analysis, communicating findings effectively to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements to the team-s modeling infrastructure and forecasting processes to improve efficiency and analytical quality.

What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Economics or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience or a deep background in applied econometrics, including handling diverse and complex economic data.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and interpreting complex financial or macroeconomic models, including the design and implementation of financial stress tests and scenarios.
  • Deep understanding of general macroeconomic theory and its practical application.
  • Proficiency in programming with econometric software, specifically EViews and/or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders and non-professional audiences.
  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of projects from conception to completion.
  • Experience in mentoring or providing technical guidance to team members.
  • A strong track record of delivering high-impact economic insights in a client-facing or corporate environment.
