The International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines (IMol) Polish Academy of Sciences, is a new and vibrant institute constituted in partnership with University Medical Center Göttingen, Germany and University of Warsaw, Poland. We provide innovative training, guidance and mentoring in an international “open door” environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
IMol invites highly motivated scientists to apply for a three years, fully-funded Postdoc position.
This very innovative project aims at investigating how a proto-metabolism may have arisen at the origin of life. Using a bottom-up approach recently established in our lab, you will have the chance to set up a system capable of generating a membrane potential and to devise a strategy to use such a potential to drive (bio)chemical reactions.
If you are open-minded, creative, hard-working and you wish to make a difference, this is the project for you!
Starting date: March 1st, 2026 (or as soon as possible)
