Portfolio Delivery Lead at HSBC Service Delivery (Polska) Sp. z o.o.

HSBCs global finance, operations, risk and technology centre provides specialist services to support our mission of opening up a world of opportunity and nurturing progress.

The role is part of the GCIO aligned COO Portfolio & Accountability Management team. You will be accountable for the overall delivery of strategic portfolio outcomes that support the business vision through complex and global change programmes, establishing and maintaining effective governance and oversight capabilities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the delivery backlogs, ensuring Business teams are represented at all levels of prioritisation to maintain focus on customer value.
  • Work closely with Business teams to ensure technology deliverables are funded, resourced and prioritised, including the transition into BAU.
  • Ensure that the GBGF Ops Director and the GBGF CIO are fully briefed of programme statuses and issues to support Group CIO meetings.
  • Drive thematic analysis across GBGF Risks and Issues to produce an executive summary of corrective actions.
  • Drive the appropriate use of execution effectiveness tools and processes for GBGF programmes.
  • Hold programme delivery managers accountable and proactively identify early warning indicators.
  • Perform quality assurance on the tracking and oversight of technical delivery using the bank’s change execution controls.
  • Provide status updates to the central PAM team for GCIO reporting and escalation within GCIO ExCo.
  • Ensure NFR & CIA completion across all portfolio initiatives where applicable.
  • Lead and manage the GCIO Portfolio & Accountability Management Delivery team and build long‑term relationships with critical stakeholders.

You’re a great candidate if you have these:

  • Proven executive leadership in technology management within financial services, preferably multinational banks.
  • Deep understanding of technology operational management requirements and the external regulatory environment.
  • Experience managing significant financial and resource plans and driving results in complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for data‑driven decision making.
  • Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively.
  • Expert knowledge of stakeholder requirements, market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to develop multi‑year business cases worth over $100m.
