About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Portfolio Analyst (PMO) to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project for one of our key clients, a global leader in the financial industry.

In this role, you will be at the heart of the Chief Technology Officers (CTO) organization, ensuring that its portfolio of strategic programs and projects is governed, monitored, and aligned with the companys strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in providing clarity and insight to senior leadership, helping to drive successful outcomes across the technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the effective delivery of the CTO portfolio outcomes, ensuring these are aligned with the organisational strategic requirements and priorities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the delivery of accurate and timely reporting data and materials for governance meetings.
  • Monitor and report on the health of the Area’s portfolio to the PMO Lead, Head of PMO Change Management, and Executive Committee.
  • Identify, analyze, and report thematic risks and issues across the portfolio to the Central PMO.
  • Provide oversight and monitoring for the CTOs portfolio of programs and projects, without direct ownership of project delivery.
  • Ensure all programs and projects within the portfolio adhere to established corporate frameworks and standards.
  • Support the CTOs annual planning activities by advising on best methods and producing high-quality review materials.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • A solid understanding of Portfolio Management frameworks, methodologies, and best practice techniques.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with strong experience in negotiating, documenting, and presenting recommendations to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities, with a proven capacity to work under pressure to challenging timescales and deliver at pace.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills. Proven experience of exposure to and interacting with senior stakeholders is critical.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to engage and bring different teams together to achieve common goals.
  • Some knowledge of technology infrastructure products, digital platforms, and the fintech landscape.
  • Experience in preparing portfolio update reports, quality procedures, audits, and status reports for senior management.
  • Advanced reporting skills, with a demonstrated ability to turn complex data and ad-hoc requests into high-level, insightful reports for C-level executives.
