Mission Essential is accepting applications for linguist candidates who speak Polish and English to provide foreign language interpretation and translation services in support of the U.S. Military in and around the European Command.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Speak, read, and write in clear and concise grammar and pronunciation required in Polish and English at a minimum level C1 on the CEFR Scale. This would include interpretation, transcription, and translation.
- Have familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself in accordance with the local culture and customs.
- Be willing and able to live and work in harsh environments, to include living and working in temporary facilities as mission dictated.
- Accurately provide the cultural and ethnic context of translations and interpretations and provide advice to the user on the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, documents, etc.
- Can serve customer operations as necessary.
- Ability to function effectively and efficiently during extended periods of high pressure and stress.
- Serve as an integral member of a team of highly trained professionals responsible for the safety and security of U.S. forces, U.S. and foreign dignitaries, and facilities/resources.
Position Notes: Working hours are 6 days per week for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Requirements:
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Speak, read, and write in clear and concise grammar and pronunciation required in Polish and English at level C1 on the CEFR grading scale.
- Must have a SECRET clearance or higher to start this position.
- We will process a security clearance for qualified individuals.
- Must meet medical requirements for deployment.
