PLC Programmer with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 - Pharmaceutical Automation

We are looking for a PLC Programmer to join Sii’s Engineering Competence Center, supporting one of our international clients from the pharmaceutical and process automation industry. You will be part of a skilled automation team developing and maintaining control systems for advanced industrial solutions. The work is performed fully remotely, with short and well‑organised business trips approximately once per quarter to support commissioning or testing phases.

Responsibilities

• Developing, testing, and maintaining PLC applications in Structured Text within the Beckhoff TwinCAT environment.
• Participating in design and code reviews, ensuring high software quality and standards compliance.
• Supporting integration and commissioning of developed software (mostly remote, occasional on‑site visits).
• Cooperating closely with automation engineers and other teams involved in system deployment.
• Ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and good automation practices (e.g., GMP, PACKML).
• Preparing and updating project documentation in English.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in PLC programming using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
• Excellent knowledge of Structured Text (IEC 61131‑3 standard).
• Understanding of industrial automation architectures and communication protocols.
• Practical experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Proactive attitude, problem‑solving mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Good command of English (B2/C1), allowing effective work in an international environment.
• Residing in Poland required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like TcUnit.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical documentation.
• Background in the pharmaceutical, food, or process industry.
