As a PLC Programmer in the Sales & Service Division, you will play a crucial role in our cross‑functional, application‑oriented team. Your primary focus will be on improving and troubleshooting equipment (system modification) used in PCB and semiconductor applications, specifically those involved in wetting processes and automation. Additionally, you will collaborate closely and exchange information regularly with the Software and R&D departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program automation solutions using Siemens PLC systems.
- Design and implement SCADA systems.
- Integrate MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
- Work with a variety of automation systems, including sensors, inverters, and servodrives, and perform diagnostics and configuration of devices used in the company’s portfolio.
- Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer sites.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical engineers, automation engineers, and project managers, to develop fully integrated solutions.
- Conduct regular system diagnostics, monitor performance, and make necessary improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Offer on‑site support and training to clients on the use and operation of the automation systems you design and implement.
- Travelling to customer sites (mainly USA) for system integration, testing, and support (around 30% working time).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, working with automation systems, including sensors, inverters, and servodrives, and a desire to learn diagnostics and configuration of these devices.
- Proficiency in SCL language, PLC programming (Siemens) and SCADA creating.
- Proficiency in English – C1 level at least.
- Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and team members.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, and for extended periods, as required by project demands.
- EU Driving License – Category B.
- Nice to have knowledge of STL and Python.
