For our client I am looking for a person to fill the position of Platform Cloud Ops Engineer

We’re looking for a highly motivated Platform Ops Engineer to support global cloudinfrastructure operations, with a focus on Azure and GCP environments. You’ll join a
growing team focused on scaling internal infrastructure capabilities, reducing managedservice reliance, and increasing automation.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining 24/7 availability of cloud services, with a particularfocus on weekend operations and patching. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and
deeply technical. The ideal candidate is comfortable working autonomously during off-hours, has strong DevOps experience, and is passionate about scalable cloudarchitecture.

What we expect

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience working in Azure and/or GCP environments.
• 3+ years of experience specifically managing infrastructure patching on Windows and RedHat operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Azure Update Manager, GitHub, PowerShell, and DevOps pipelines.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and load balancing.
• Comfortable working independently on weekends and responding to nfrastructure alerts or incidents as needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; self-driven and solutions-oriented.
• Comfortable operating in a high-autonomy, high-accountability environment with little hand-holding.

Your tasks

• Manage and monitor enterprise Azure and GCP cloud infrastructure acrosenvironments (dev, pre-prod, prod).
• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, andGitHub to support automated provisioning, patching, and configuration.
• Own and execute patching processes for Windows and RedHat OS, includingautomated and hands-off patching workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, including initiating incidentresponse during outages.
• Participate in deployments, system upgrades, security vulnerability remediation,and continuous improvement of cloud environments.
• Collaborate with US-based teams and cross-train with global teammates (India,Mexico, Poland) as part of a 24/7 support model.
• Help scale weekend infrastructure operations and potentially take onresponsibilities related to backup management (Commvault experience is a hugeplus).
• Contribute to reducing dependency on third-party MSPs and help build long-terminternal platform capabilities.
