You will join our clients Cloud Engineering department. The team is in charge of developing their new API management platform as well as the cloud eventing platform to be used by the developers across delivery teams.



The cloud engineer role offers an opportunity to work with Azure cloud technology and enable the software developers by delivering new cloud platform capabilities. You will be contributing indirectly to business value by delivering platform and tech-related value to the more business-oriented value stream teams. You will be working with a small team of 4 (with another cloud engineer and department architect) as well as other stakeholders across the company and external vendors.

Start your day with the flexible morning hours and:

• Be responsible for the development of the company-wide eventing platform enabling event-driven architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Help with the development of a robust Java-based API management platform on Azure to enable other development teams to create, deploy, and monitor their APIs efficiently.
• Be responsible for the Java development of services and/or REST APIs to automate and integrate between central platform components.
• Investigate and perform analysis of new technologies to measure their fit.
• Develop supporting services, pipelines, and configurations.
• Aid value-stream teams in adopting the shared API management and eventing platforms.

We are happy to hear from you if you have:

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Software engineering experience with Java for at least 2-3 years.
• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
• Degree in software engineering.
• Appreciation for engaging in team discussions on work topics, including considerations about requirements, design, governance, compliance.
• Ability and willingness to reach out to identified contact persons to achieve clarifications when needed.
• It’s nice-to-have experience with:
  • API Management platform(s)
  • Kafka, Confluent or any other Event Management platform(s)
  • Event Driven Architecture in general
  • OAuth protocol and its various auth flows
  • Config-as-code, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or Bicep
