Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement? Palfinger Marine Poland is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager (m/f/d) to oversee our assembly and testing site operations. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive efficiency, safety, and quality across all production processes.

Purpose of the job and area of responsibility.

The Plant Manager ensures the efficient and safe operation of the assembly and testing site, overseeing all processes from component receipt to final shipment. This role drives high-quality, cost-effective production in compliance with schedules, regulatory standards, and corporate objectives. By fostering collaboration across departments and implementing robust routines, the Plant Manager supports continuous improvement and operational excellence within the company group.

  • Operational Oversight: Manage all plant operations from component receipt through assembly, testing, commissioning, and shipping to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE): Enforce quality standards, implement test protocols, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost-efficiency initiatives while monitoring KPIs. Ensure highest competitiveness and resource-optimized operation.
  • Personnel Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop teams within subordinate departments to foster engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Managing Directors and other stakeholders to align plant operations with corporate strategy and support key projects. Proactively engage with internal and external customers to optimize processes.
  • Additional Tasks: Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the main functional manager. Adapt to changes in job scope, tasks, and responsibilities as required to support the company’s evolving business needs.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in managing production or plant operations with strong people leadership skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of assembly, testing processes, and quality management systems.
  • QHSE Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of health, safety, environmental regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to oversee budgets, control costs, and manage financial performance indicators.
  • Strategic & Communication Skills: Strong ability to collaborate across departments and drive integration within a global organization.
  • Excellent English skills are required.
